Platelet-rich plasma (PRP)
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a component of blood that contains growth factors and other proteins that promote healing on a cellular level. When injected into the skin, PRP can help improve texture and tone, reduce wrinkles, and encourage new collagen growth. PRP can also be used as an effective treatment for hair restoration.
Areas that can be treated:
- Around the eyes, particularly skin texture that is crepey
- Dark under eye circles and under eye hollowing
- Cheeks
- Neck rejuvenation
- Décolletage
- Scalp
- Acne scarring, pitted scar
- Back of hands
PRP (aka Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapy uses concentrated factors from your own blood to stimulate skin cells to regenerate and rejuvenate. PRP is used to:
- Increase collagen and new cell turnover
- Enhance skin texture and elasticity
- Reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
- Correct volume loss (such as under eyes)
- Reduce inflammation
- Correct stretch marks and scaring (especially dipped scars from severe acne)
- Promote even skin tone and texture
Require 4 treatments between 4-6 weeks apart
PRP for hair loss has long lasting results but will typically require maintenance treatments in order to maintain the effects long term. The PRP therapy can have effects that last as long as 18 months after the initial round of injection treatments, however, we recommend getting a touch-up treatment approximately once a year in order to maintain the full results of the treatment.
